So why does it feel like a) we're still in the same shitty situation, and b) why aren't those raises hitting? With inflation up to 7.5% - and that's probably a low estimate - and rents up 40%, it seems employers are not growing where their hearts are concerned. But their pockets certainly seem to be. This leaves many of us sitting at work, watching our money disappear. With that money goes motivation.
